 100 YEARS, 100,000 KIDS

In 1924, a group of like-minded educators and philanthropists in New York City came together to provide summer-time respite in nature for girls from the working poor neighborhoods of downtown Manhattan. From those humble beginnings, the agency that would become Hands In 4 Youth has adapted to the shifting needs of children from underserved communities for 100 years, and changed the lives of thousands of young people.

Now we provide a year-round schedule of award-winning programs that are proven to impact the social and emotional development of youth. JOIN US as we celebrate this milestone year!

Join the Centennial Campaign!

More children need what we do. Our Centennial Goal is to DOUBLE the number of kids we support and increase our year-round services for each of those children.

Our supporters have made it possible for Hands in 4 Youth to offer:

·       Subsidized summer camp

·       Afterschool enrichment programs for youth in high-need communities

·       Dropout prevention programs

·       Year-round retreats at Camp Vacamas

·       Day Camp in NYC

…and many other initiatives
