Michael Labadorf, Immediate Past President

Michael has served on the Board of Directors of HI4Y for well over a decade.  Michael is the Executive Vice President of Brown & Brown Insurance Brokerage Firm Inc., with his offices in Garden City. Michael is the fourth generation of the founder of Sobel Affiliates, an agency that was acquired by Brown & Brown in 2007. He has worked at Sobel, then Brown & Brown, continuously since 1982 and received the industry’s highest designation – Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter CPCU, in 1991. While well versed in all forms of insurance, Michael has a particular expertise in insuring children’s summer camps and not for profit organizations.

Michael’s great aunt and uncle were founders of Camp Vacamas, the predecessor of HI4Y, and served as Directors on the Board for over 50 years.
